Scan old photos painlessly

You can quickly scan photos for uploading to LivesArchived using only a smartphone and a free app from Google called PhotoScan.

1. Install PhotoScan for iPhone or Android
2. PhotoScan will prompt you to take 3 pictures of the photo at different angles to compensate for lighting and glare.    It then combines these photos into 1 photo that can be saved to your camera.
3. Open Safari or Chrome on your phone and go to LivesArchived.com
4. Navigate to the person’s archive.   Click Submit items and upload the photo from the camera roll.   Note: If you are not the curator for the person you upload for, the photo will not be public until the curator approves the photo.
